Like a Christmas present, the year is fast wrapping up - in about eleven hours, to be exact! Last year I blogged about being more artful in life. Was I successful? Well, I definitely painted a lot, but I would have to admit that I did not take a ton of opportunities to branch out in other creative areas. It seemed as if I was busy all the time. Maybe you can relate. Looking back over the year, quite a bit has gone on, though, both in my art and in my family, both happy and sad.

In 2019, my art was out and about more, which was great. I had three solo shows - Brighton Episcopal Church Gallery, Canton Village Theater Gallery and the Livonia Arts Commission Fine Arts Gallery. I also had work in local Beaumont Hospitals through the Arts for the Spirit program, at Angela Hospice, Sweetwaters Cafe, and the Plymouth Coffee Bean. I had a booth at the Ann Arbor Art Fair and participated in a several group exhibits. All in all, lots of work, but not too shabby.

Then, in my family, happily I became a grandmother - we call him James and we call me Nana!

And, sadly, we lost our furry buddy, friend and protector Oliver in October. He is sorely missed...
